Documentation

Floki includes fully comprehensive insurance and UK breakdown cover.

Our insurers have provided us with a list of requirements for each driver. Below is what is required for each driver with no exceptions.

Emailed documentation is also acceptable.

What we need to see before you arrive:

​

  • For each driver we need a scanned copy of your photo card driving licence

  • For each driver we need a DVLA licence check code so we can view your licence details before you arrive.

  • For each driver, two other proofs of address that show the document date and your name and address which must also match your driving licence. 

  • ​

The following only are acceptable:

​

  • Electricity (bill/statement)

  • Water (bill/statement)

  • Gas (bill/statement)

  • Broadband/Landline bill

  • Council Tax

  • TV licence

  • Credit card (bill/statement)

  • Mortgage statement

  • Polling card

  • Student loan

  • Payslip

  • Mobile phone bill

  • Loan Statement
     

Please note these documents cannot be dated any older than 90 days of the hire start date.

Whats Included

What's Included

Floki, fully comprehensive insurance for all named drivers, unlimited mileage (for 7 night or more), 16L water container, mains hook up lead, energy efficient fridge, TV with HDMI, crockery, cutlery and fixed fold-away table. Bedding and Towels are not included.  For more information on Floki click here.

Floki will come with a full tank of Diesel, but you must refill it when you return at the end of your holiday.

Payments

Payments

We take a £150 non-refundable deposit, with the balance due 4 weeks prior to the date of hire.

A security bond is required before the campervan leaves our premises.

We will pre-authorise £500 (£750 for festivals) on your credit card.  Alternatively, this can be paid by BACS provided it has cleared before collection of Floki.

Providing the terms and conditions are met, the bond will be released back into your account.

Please note: we do not accept cash for the security bond.

EU Travel

Currently we do not offer EU Travel however we are looking to include this at a later date.

Extras

Extras

Extras which we can provide are an Awning and a Ninja BBQ. Please note these items may incur an additional charge.

Pet Friendly

Pet Friendly

All pets are welcome to travel with you. We are animal lovers ourselves and understand the importance and sometimes need to bring your pets along for the journey.  All that we ask is that they are never left alone in Floki and that a suitable bed is brought along with you for your pet to sleep in.

As an extra at the time of making your booking, we charge a one-off fee  of £20 to cover the additional cleaning required to ensure that Floki is in great shape for whoever travels next. 

Collections

Collections & Returns

Collection of Floki is from our residence in Nottingham. 

Collection time is 3pm however we do need to do a few checks with you first so please bare this in mind for your journey.

 

If you plan to be in the area earlier in the day, do let us know as we might just be able to get your van ready slightly ahead of schedule.  If you can't reach us by your allocated collection time, do get in touch as soon as possible.

Returning Floki is to our residence in Nottingham. 

We kindly ask that you return Floki for 12pm on the final day of your hire to give us plenty of time for final checks and cleaning for the next collection at 3pm.

If you are delayed or are having trouble making it back for 12pm please do get in touch with us.

Useful Information before you book.

How old do I need to be to hire?

Our minimum hire age is 21. Please note however that any drivers under 25 will be required to pay an additional security deposit to cover the insurance excess.

Do I need a full UK Licence?

Unfortunately we cannot hire out

Floki to anyone without a full UK Drivers Licence.

How do I operate everything within Floki?

Absolutely, we will provide you with a full tour and explanation of Floki and answer any questions you might have before you set off.

How can I make payment?

All major debit and credit cards are accepted as well as payments by BACS.

I have points on my licence, can I still hire?

Normally a few points are acceptable however please get in touch with us first before booking.

Can I return Floki earlier than planned?

Please contact us prior to returning so that we can try and accommodate your new return time.

What happens if I breakdown?

Full UK and EU breakdown cover. If the campervan can't be repaired in a reasonable amount of time, you and your family will be transported to a destination of your choice.

We will supply you with another campervan if one is available.
